Not every New Year's Eve is spent at a table or in a club. In Rome some spaces work on a different scale on 31 December: a theme park that stays open for twelve hours, a concert hall reset as a dinner theatre, and the EUR palazzo that hosts big end-of-year events.
No venue matches all of these filters.
Cinecittà World: twelve hours, one ticket
Cinecittà World, on the Via Pontina at Castel Romano, opens from 18:00 to 6:00 with the rides running all night, four music stages with different genres and fireworks at midnight on Cinecittà Street. General admission at the last edition cost €40 and included rides, stages, street food areas and parking; there is a shuttle from Termini station and the EUR Magliana metro stop, which solves the problem of getting home on the night of the 31st.
Atlantico Live: dinner and show in the same hall
Atlantico Live, in EUR Torrino, becomes a dinner theatre on 31 December: tables fill the stalls, the gallery and the front rows, with the stage in front. Dinner is priced by section, €125 in the Loggia and €145 in the Poltronissima front seats, and includes the live show; if you arrive after dinner you can join the dance floor for €40 from 23:30 or €30 after the toast. It is also one of the Rome options designed for those bringing children, with a children's menu at €60 and a room with entertainment.
Palazzo dei Congressi: EUR's big event
The Palazzo dei Congressi is the rationalist building on Piazza John Kennedy, whose great vaulted hall has hosted New Year's Eve nights devoted to electronic music in past editions. The 2026 programme has not yet been announced: the event page will be updated as soon as the venue confirms the event.
Who they suit
Cinecittà World, Atlantico Live and the Palazzo dei Congressi share their capacity and their long hours: you arrive early, stay on your feet and move around. They are the right choice for large groups, where getting everyone to agree on a menu is complicated, and for those who want live music or rides rather than a seated dinner. If you are after the opposite, see the New Year's Eve dinner in Rome and the clubs.
Questions
Good to know
How is it different from a club or a restaurant?
Scale and duration. Cinecittà World is open from 6pm to 6am with the rides running and four music stages; Atlantico Live turns a concert hall into a dining room with tables in front of the stage; the Palazzo dei Congressi hosts events for thousands of people. You stand and move around rather than staying seated at a table all evening.
Are they suitable for children?
For the first few hours, yes. Atlantico Live has a children's menu at €60, with a dedicated room and entertainment for ages 3 to 10. At Cinecittà World the park opens at 6pm with the rides running: the first part of the evening works well for families, while the heart of the night is designed as a dance party.
How much does it cost?
At Cinecittà World, general admission at the last edition cost €40 and included the rides, the stages, the street-food areas and parking. At Atlantico Live the dinner with show is priced by seating area (€125 and €145), while after-dinner entry costs €40 at 11.30pm and €30 after the toast. The 2027 programme for the Palazzo dei Congressi has not yet been announced.
