New Year’s Eve at the Atlantico: dinner, show and dance floor
Atlantico Live is one of the concert halls in EUR, and on the night of 31 December it is reset as a theatre-restaurant: tables fill the stalls, the balcony and the front rows, all facing the stage. The evening is built as a dinner show, meaning dinner is served and the live performance takes place in the same room, and it carries on with a DJ set after the midnight toast.
In recent years the comedy slot has gone to the stand-up of Antonio Giuliani, a well-known Roman comedian; this year’s performer will be announced with the official programme.
Where it is and how to get there
The venue is at viale dell’Oceano Atlantico 271/D, in the EUR Torrino area, close to the Palazzo dello Sport arena. By car, come along via Cristoforo Colombo or take the EUR exit of the Grande Raccordo Anulare (Rome’s ring road) towards the Palalottomatica; there is plenty of parking in the area. By public transport, the nearest stop is EUR Palasport on metro line B, about twenty minutes’ walk away.
The New Year’s Eve programme
At the last edition, tables opened at 20:00 with dinner served, one bottle of wine for every three guests and the show in the hall; then the midnight toast, followed by dancing to the DJ set. For younger children there was a dedicated room with entertainers for ages 3 to 10. The kitchen also offered vegan and gluten-free menus, to be requested when booking.
Prices and packages
Prices at the last published edition, by seating area: the New Year’s Eve dinner (the Italian “cenone”) cost €145 per person in the Poltronissima, €135 in the Platea and €125 in the Loggia, all with a table reserved for the night and desserts included. Entry to the 23:00 show only, with an allocated seat, cost €75, and the children’s menu €60 with a table in the dedicated room. After dinner, dance-floor entry was €40 at 23:30 and €30 from 00:01, with one drink. Tables of fewer than ten people are shared with other guests. 2027 prices are being updated.
Who it suits
It is one of the few New Year’s Eve options in Rome genuinely designed for people bringing children: a dedicated menu, a room with entertainers and an evening that does not run until dawn. It works just as well for groups and couples who would rather see a show than go clubbing. If you only want to dance, you can come in after dinner with the 23:30 or 00:01 tickets.
