Your night in two time zones
All times are Rome time (Central European Time, UTC+1).
Villa dei Cesari stands on Via Ardeatina, inside the Appia Antica Archaeological Park, about ten minutes from the Aventine yet with the feel of the Roman countryside. The Tor Marancia estate on which it sits passed to the Braschi Onesti family in 1797; the villa was restored in 2012 and has hosted receptions ever since, with two indoor halls and 5,000 square metres of grounds.
On 31 December there are two options: a served dinner in the halls for those who want to see in midnight at the table, and entry after the toast for those joining just for the party.
The entrance is at Via Ardeatina 164, just past the junction with Via di Grotta Perfetta, in a green area bordering the Appia Antica nature reserve. By car, come via Via Cristoforo Colombo or Via Ardeatina; there is parking within the property. Evening public transport is limited: on New Year's Eve, plan on a taxi or your own car.
At the last published edition dinner was served in the halls with free-flowing wine until midnight, followed by the toast and a DJ set; after the countdown, disco entries with one drink included joined the party. The grounds, lit up for the occasion, frame the evening. The 2027 programme will be confirmed by the venue.
Prices at the last published edition: served dinner €120 per person, including the menu, free-flowing wine until 00:00, the midnight toast and a DJ set; party ticket from 00:00 at €40 with one drink. 2027 prices are being updated and will be confirmed by the villa.
This is an elegant dinner rather than a club night: it suits couples and groups who want New Year's Eve in a villa, with the chance to step out into the grounds rather than spending the night in one room. If you only want to dance, the after-midnight ticket is the cheaper way in, but the villa is above all a place for the New Year's Eve dinner.
Inside
The reception hall, set with the dinner tables.
