Toy Room is the Rome branch of an international club, on via degli Avignonesi, a side street between via del Tritone and piazza Barberini, a few minutes from the Trevi Fountain. It is one of the few New Year’s Eve options that lets you have dinner and dance without leaving the historic centre or heading out to the suburbs after midnight.
The evening comes in two parts: dinner, served in the Aforisma restaurant or the piano bar room, and the party, which after the toast spreads across three connected spaces.
The address is via degli Avignonesi 73, between via del Tritone and via Rasella. Barberini station on metro line A is a five-minute walk away. The area lies inside the ZTL, the city centre’s restricted traffic zone, and on the night of 31 December the streets around Trevi and the Quirinale are often closed to traffic for public events: the easiest way to get there is on foot or by taxi.
At the last published edition, dinner started at 20:30, with a DJ set in the background in the restaurant and live piano in the other room, a table reserved until 00:15 and the midnight toast. After the countdown the party opened up across the club’s three spaces, with VIP tables bookable from 23:00. The 2027 programme will be confirmed by the management.
Prices at the last edition: dinner served in the Aforisma restaurant €190 per person, dinner in the piano bar room €160, both with one bottle of wine for every three guests, the toast and access to the party. The party-only ticket from 23:00 cost €50 with one drink. VIP tables required a minimum spend of €600 for six people in the restaurant and €1,000 for ten people in the club, with packages up to €3,000. 2027 prices are being updated.
It is the choice for anyone who wants to stay in the centre and is after a club night, with a carefully prepared dinner first. The VIP tables make it a good fit for groups celebrating together who want a reserved space. It is not designed for families with children and has no packages for little ones.
