Heaven is a restaurant with a ballroom just behind Porta Ardeatina, on the stretch of the city walls between Piramide and San Saba. On 31 December the format suits anyone who does not want to move on at midnight: arrive at 20:30 for the cenone (the big New Year's Eve dinner) served at the table, toast in the dining room, and straight afterwards the same space becomes a dance floor with a DJ set until the small hours.
Those not having dinner can come in later, with the 23:00 evening ticket or the one after the toast. That is why the venue appeals to two different crowds: people looking for a relaxed New Year's Eve dinner and people who just want the party.
The address is Viale di Porta Ardeatina 119, inside the Aurelian Walls, between Piramide, San Saba and the Baths of Caracalla. Metro line B stops at Piramide and Circo Massimo, both about ten minutes' walk away; Roma Ostiense station is a little further. By car, come via Via Cristoforo Colombo or the Colombo-Marco Polo route, with street parking subject to availability.
At the last published edition the room opened at 20:30 for the served gala dinner, with one bottle of wine for every three people and the midnight toast at the table. As the new year arrives, the venue changes role: the decks come on, the DJ set starts and VIP tables are reserved in the disco area. The 2027 programme will be confirmed by the management.
Prices at the last edition: Platinum gala dinner €119 per person with a table reserved all night, Gold gala dinner €99 with a table until 00:30, 23:00 party ticket at €39 with a drink and the toast, after-midnight ticket at €25 with one drink. A VIP table in the disco costs €700 for up to twelve people, plus €60 for each extra person. 2027 prices are being updated.
Good for a couple or a group of friends who want a relaxed dinner and then to dance without driving anywhere at midnight. If you only want the club, the 00:15 ticket is a budget-friendly option in the centre. Not the right choice if you are celebrating with children: there is no dedicated area.
